Frequently Asked Questions

What is UTC and how does it relate to time zones?
UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is the primary time standard by which the world regulates clocks. Time zones are defined as offsets from UTC, for example, New York is UTC-5 in winter (EST) and UTC-4 in summer (EDT).
Does this tool account for Daylight Saving Time (DST)?
Yes! We use the Intl.DateTimeFormat API with IANA timezone identifiers, which automatically handles DST transitions. A DST badge appears on clocks currently observing daylight saving time.
How accurate are the displayed times?
The times are based on your device's system clock and are updated every second. They are as accurate as your computer or phone's clock. For the highest accuracy, ensure your device syncs with an internet time server.
Can I use the meeting planner for more than 5 time zones?
You can add up to 8 time zones in the meeting planner. The grid will highlight hours where all selected time zones have overlapping business hours (9 AM to 5 PM), making it easy to find a suitable meeting time.
Is my data saved anywhere?
Your selected cities are saved only in your browser's local storage. No data is sent to any server. You can reset to defaults at any time using the Reset button.
